  We were delighted to receive a special SEND award recently for all the work our staff do in school to make sure every one is included. Many congratulations to one and all!

  

• Science Research Lesson

  One of our ex pupils who now works in Science Research came into school to show Year 5 pupils how to use a microscope.
   

  They looked at some old slides, including two from The Challenger Expedition 1872-1876.  The children used coordinates to find where "Challenger" sailed in the ocean towards Antarctica but not within sight of it.  The report was described as "the greatest advance in the knowledge of our planet since the celebrated discoveries of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries".
  
  They also looked at a slide of Queen Victoria's family.
