Year 4 enjoyed a great visit to Croxteth Hall & Farm on Thursday 14th July. Michael, was our Mini-Beasts expert and took us on a mini-beast hunt. We learned so much from him about the mini-beasts who inhabit the park at the various canopy levels. We were able to discover even more creatures from the pond dipping trays. After lunch and a playground visit, we made our way to the farm where, armed with bags of chopped carrots, we could feed the pigs, goats, sheep, horses, cattle, rabbits and ducks. The meercats cannot eat carrots so we all gathered by the meercat enclosure to watch them being fed live mealworms and bananas! We learned so much and had fun too!
