As you know we have been looking at the work of contempory Op Art artists, in particular, Bridget Riley.
Today I would like you to look at the work of MC Escher, an amazing man who created seemingly impossible images. You can not study Op Art without examining his work.
Please read the PowerPoint I have made for you and then investigate him and his other works. there were just too many to include aswe are limited to size.
Check out 'Drawing Hands' 1948 and 'Convex and Concave' 1955. They are brilliant! There are so many ways to view them and they appear different every time.
Once you have created your composition, please keep for the future. I would love to see your work so please do email pictures of what you have done and information you have discovered.
Keeping drawing and smiling!

Bonjour mes amis!
I hope you are all enjoying your learning at home whilst enjoying the sunshine and keeping fit with your daily exercises. It is very strange not seeing you around school on a daily basis.
French may not be top of your list of priorities but you have been doing so well with your knowledge and pronunciation, that it will be 'fantastique' if you continue to practise.
If you need any help, use Google Translate or a French dictionary; you may have one at home.
I will be adding PowerPoints and activities for you to access each week. Remember, you will be studying a modern foreign language at secondary school! Keep up the good work and bon chance!
Love from Madame Afford
