Making salt dough Christmas Tree Decorations

In readiness for the school Christmas Fair on 3rd December, Year 4 have been making salt-dough Christmas tree decorations. It's been a messy job but great fun! We rolled the dough out and used festive biscuit cutters to produce lots of decorations. Once the shapes were dry (and that took longer than we anticipated, so had to revert to baking them dry!), we got all creative and painted each of the shapes. The children then added the extra details such as noses on snowmen, and fluffy beards on Santas, and added ribbons before packaging them beautifully to make them ready for sale. Thank you to those of you who have bought our decorations. We hope you appreciate the love and care that has gone into making these for you!
