Separating Solids (21-5-13)

The children took on a group challenge this afternoon. Mr Hirst had mixed sand, salt and rice together in a large pot and wanted to know if anyone could sort the three substances back out for him. As you can see from both the precision and mess on display below, the challenge was tackled with varying degrees of success!
