Keep up to date with all the news happening in school at the moment.
On Tuesday Year 6 will demonstrate a parliamentary debate for the whole school.
All classes will follow this up during the week with activities to help develop our understanding of democracy such as mini debates and votes. Our class worship theme is It's not fair! which helps us to explore how to act in the face of injustice.
Every child and all members of staff have made a poppy over the last few weeks.
We have written the names of more than 400 soldiers from the memorials in our church. Over the next two weeks we will be remembering all the people who have served in many different ways during wars in the last one hundred years.

Please visit us to see some of what we are doing to celebrate our British Values by commemorating the events of
100 years ago.
In particular we will have displays about women getting the vote, the end of World War One and the birth of the RAF.
Come and…
make a poppy to add to our poppy cascade
add to our plane templates in memory of the role of the RAF
learn about some of the links Southport has to World War One
Today we have had a wonderful time of reflection, thinking of those for whom peace feels like an impossibility.
We will be releasing our PEACE DOVE at 12!
Listen to this reflection based on the words of St Teresa of Avila - Christ has no hands but yours.

We have begun to make poppies for our remembrance cascade.
Each child and member of staff is going to make a poppy ready for the centenary of the end of World War One.
Children in Years 1-5 and reception should bring in a small plastic drink bottle that we can recycle into our poppies.
