Soup and Shelter Day 24th February

On Friday 24th February, the children all brought £1 to show their support for Southport Soup Kitchen. The local Soup Kitchen is one of the School Council's chosen charities to support this term and we were delighted to welcome Gill, the Soup Kitchen's Chairperson to our school to tell us about their amazing work.

To highlight the plight of those less fortunate than ourselves, some of the children built shelters in which to enjoy the soup that they were served after the assembly.
Thank you to Gill for taking the time to come and speak at our assembly to raise awareness of the wonderful work they do and thank you to all the parents and careers for your generosity in sending in £1 per child to raise money for those who frequent the Soup Kitchen.

If you would like to help further, the Soup Kitchen in located on London Road and will accept donations, offers of help and prayers.
