As part of our curriculum planning, we have created Knowledge Organisers. These relate to the individual topics/units within the curriculum for each subject.
In Art and Design, many of the topics run through the school with skills being extended and developed each time they are revisited.
For example, Colour is used in every year group as is line & form and collage. These have a general Knowledge organiser that is used in all year groups. Some artists are studied in Early years or KS1 and revisited in KS2 with a different perspective/learning outcome and skills taught.
For the other topics that are only taught in specific year group, these units have their own Knowledge organiser.
These work as medium term planning alongside the yearly overview on the Art & Design curriulum map.
