March 23rd

History Ambassadors...Yesterday we walked to Duke Street Cemetery to undertake our own act of remembrance for the local people who served in the Labour Corp of World War One. We took our wreath (before posting it to enter the Commonwealth competition) which we made sure had some yellow and black flowers to represent Southport. We have found three out of the six local Labour Corp graves. We read out a poem of remembrance together and we left behind small stones and remembrance cards.
