Pumpkins

One of our children brought a home grown pumpkin into school. We cut up the pumpkin to investigate and some of the children commented "It's slimy" and "there are seeds and it smells." "It's gooey and wet." After all the children had a chance to look at it, we decided to make some pumpkin soup and those that wanted to were able to taste it.
