At St Philip’s, we believe that education is about so much more than what happens during lesson time. Our ambitious enrichment offer gives children opportunities to discover talents, develop new interests, build confidence, make friendships, learn new skills and experience success beyond the classroom.
There really is something for everyone. Across the year, our children have opportunities to take part in a broad and exciting range of clubs and activities, including:
Our enrichment programme is linked with Children’s University, helping us to recognise and celebrate the valuable learning children undertake beyond the formal curriculum. Children can build up their participation in enrichment experiences, helping them to recognise just how much they achieve through opportunities outside their everyday lessons.
Equity of access is extremely important to us. Children from all groups across our school are represented within our enrichment offer, and we actively consider participation when reviewing and developing provision.
We provide a balance of free and paid-for opportunities and consider enrichment through our wider commitment to poverty-proofing. A family's financial circumstances should not unnecessarily become a barrier to a child experiencing the wider opportunities school life can offer. We therefore continually look at who is accessing enrichment, where barriers might exist and what we can do to make opportunities as inclusive and accessible as possible.
Our Enrichment Audit helps us to evaluate the breadth, quality and accessibility of our provision. This feeds directly into our Enrichment Action Plan, ensuring that we continue to refine our offer, identify gaps and create new opportunities in response to the interests and needs of our children.
We are particularly fortunate to have a dedicated and talented staff team who generously share their time, interests and expertise with our children, alongside carefully selected external providers. External providers are appropriately checked and vetted, and required to provide relevant safeguarding, risk assessment, safety and insurance documentation.
Our club offer changes throughout the year, providing children with different opportunities and experiences, so please keep an eye on our termly timetable to see what is available.

Homework Club places will be allocated in the following order…Pupil Premium children, Children with a Social worker, children falling below the expected standard for their age and then other children
