Summer Term - The final term! 

Myself, Mrs Westby and Mrs Croxford would like to welcome you all to our final term in Year 4. We have plenty to look forward to, including some amazing trips and opportunities to deepen our learning in some exciting units of work. Our Curriculum Newsletter, with all the details of Summer 1, has been uploaded on our class Curriculum page. Spellings and Homework pages are being updated each week. 

We now welcome Summer uniforms from this point until the end of the year. I would recommend water be brought in each day as our classroom can be warm. There has been a change to our PE days. We are now expecting children in PE clothing on Mondays and Fridays. 

We hope for continued successes in Year 4 as we move to the end of the year.

Spring Term - Welcome back after Christmas! 

Mr Vernon, Mrs Westby and Mrs Croxford are excited to welcome you back into this new term. More learning, more times tables and more fun to be had for sure. 

We are continuing Trumpet Thursdays with brass instruments in class. This is an exciting opportunity and we look forward to all the amazing performances to be had. 

PE has now swapped days to Wednesdays and Fridays only unless otherwise notified. Full kit to be worn on those days. We are no longer swimming. 

Spellings continue as normal, all lists and homework tasks can be found on the class page. We will also be uploading photos over the course of the year so pop by and visit the website for our updates. Badges are being handed out for fantastic scores before Christmas and I look forward to this continuing.

Autumn Term - Welcome to Year 4 

We are so happy to welcome you to Year 4. This year, Mrs Westby (Class TA - mornings) and I will be working with the children everyday delivering a wide and exciting curriculum. I am very excited to get the year underway, with lots to look forward to this term. 

PE days are currently TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS. Children should come in, appropriately dressed in PE kit, hair tied back, no jewellery and black trainers. Thursdays in Autumn will be our weekly swimming day. Please bring in one-piece swimsuits, a towel and a swimming hat in a bag. It is Dunes Leisure Centre's policy that child do not swim as a result of improper kit. 

Homework is sent home on Friday, to be returned by Wednesday.

Spellings are tested on Friday mornings. Each list of words is online and in the back of purple homework books. Scores will be in homework books each week.
