In Reception:

• Screens are used selectively and purposefully to support learning.
• High-quality interactions, play, language development and outdoor learning remain the priority.
• Technology is used to enhance learning rather than occupy children.

• Staff model balanced and appropriate use of digital technology. 

   

Use of screens is

• Purposeful and linked to specific learning.
• Accompanied by adult interaction and discussion.
• Not used as a regular form of entertainment or behaviour management.
