Here is a brief overview of what to expect this half-term:
In English, we will focus on dinosaur-themed stories and non-fiction writing.
In Reading, we will be developing our reading comprehension and prediction skills through a range of dinosaur-themed texts.
In Maths, we will be developing our understanding of numbers from 0 to 20 and will begin exploring addition.
In Science, we will be learning about animals, including humans. We will identify and name different animal groups, compare their features and explore what animals eat. We will also learn about our bodies and the five senses.
In PHSE, we will be focusing on new beginnings and learning how to keep and stay safe online and near roads.
In French, we will be learning colours and numbers.
In RE, we will be learning about God as a Creator and exploring the Christian Creation story from the Bible.
In PE, we will be developing our fundamental movement and fitness skills.
In History, we will be learning about dinosaurs and life in the past. We will explore how we know dinosaurs existed by looking at fossils, including dinosaur bones and footprints.
In Art, we will be exploring a range of artistic techniques. We will learn how to mix colours using paint, experiment with drawing lines, and explore printing using different materials and textures.
