Good morning Year 5! It’s Friday again and half term next week!
Today is catch up Friday- complete your History project and catch up on any other tasks from the week.
I have put a maths challenge in the maths folder for anyone who wants to have a go!
Please email me your History project, or drop it into school if you can, or keep it safe til we are back in school again. I really would love to see them.
Remember the Year 1 joint music project ( look in the music folder for more details) - ‘All you need is love‘- send your video clips to me for Miss Samuel to include on her joint video.
Have a good week off - lots of family time and hopefully fun in the sun! Be good ! Be kind to each other!

Thursday 21st May
Good morning ! What a beautiful, sunny day it was yesterday! I hope you managed to have some exercise and enjoy it?
I would like you to carry on with your History project for English- did you have a go at the Word Art yesterday? If so I would love to see you designs so email them to me. If you didn't have a chance yesterday try today (English folder for link) as it is great fun!
Maths today is continuing with division. Remember to use BBC Bitesize to help revise any topics you are struggling with and You tube often has some useful videos as well. For PSCHE this afternoon I would like you to focus on the 'kindness' and maybe make a card for someone, phone a family member you haven't see, send a lovely text to someone? Look in the PSCHE folder for more ideas.
Take care and have a great day!
Love, Mrs Cooper

I have set you a fun task today to have a go at making a Word art picture to use in your project. I can’t wait to see how you get on with that! Maths today is moving onto division and PE I have put a challenge on for you.

Tuesday 19th May
Good morning Year 5!
Please can I remind you again to check this web page every day for your daily learning tasks. You can not complete the Purple Mash tasks without knowing what you need to do! This is now especially important since Year 5 are not returning to school after half term. I will be continuing to set work for you- even though I will be in school teaching Year 6.
Today I will be starting to give each of you a ring to see how you are - please ask your families to listen out for it- it will show ‘No caller ID’ on the phone.
Today’s tasks are English, Maths, Art and French. Please check the folders for more details. I haven’t had any photos emailed to me yet this week and would love to see what you have been doing.
Have a lovely day- remember the kindness calendar !
Love, Mrs Cooper 😁
Today marks the start of Mental Health Awareness week- the theme this year is 'kindness'. Attached below I have added a blank kindness calendar- can you do an act of kindness a day and complete the calendar?
Monday 18th May
Good morning Year 5- I hope you had a lovely weekend. We went to play tennis near Rotten row by Victoria park. It’s the first time we have travelled further for our exercise so that was fun!
I am in school today so will reply to any emails and check Purple Mash later. Your work today is Maths (Multiplication), English ( Scientist research) , RE ( Ramadan research) and Science ( reversible and irreversible changes). Look at each subject in the folders for more details.
Have a great day -
