Throughout the past couple of months we have had a brilliant amount of sponsorship from businesses, a trophy was awarded to the fastest large Rubber Duck.
To date just over £2236 has been raised, what an amazing amount and a huge thank-you to everyone involved.
Enjoy the photostory of the race.
Rubber Duck Race
This event is in aid of the building work currently underway, of two new class-rooms for our children. This event will be held on Friday 27th March 2009 at the Model Boating Lake on Rotton Row, Southport.
We are looking for a business to sponsor the above event and we expect the cost to be in the region of £500. This will cover the cost of the equipment for the event- mainly Rubber Ducks!
The children will be selling small ducks for sponsorship at a suggested donation of £1 each. There will also be larger ducks available for businesses and other groups to sponsor. We suggest a donation of £10- £20 for these.
If anyone is aware of a business, that may want to sponsor this event, please contact school and leave a message for Claire Miller.
UPDATE:
We just wanted to say a huge, huge thank you to you all for supporting this event. So far, the children have raised nearly £1000! We are sure you will agree this is a massive achievement.
The highest amount of individual sponsorship, so far is £ 47- can it be beaten?!
We are looking forward to seeing how many of the children have Yellow Wacky Heads on Comic Relief Day - there will be a prize for these.
Some of the association members had a practice run for the Rubber Duck Race on Saturday and it went very well, so we are expecting the event to run relatively smoothly on the day! For the start- line we are going to need some large cola or lemonade bottles. Please send them into school marked for the association.
If you haven't managed to get your sponsorship money in yet, there is still plenty of time. Please send it into school as soon as possible.
Many thanks again for your support.
