WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL COUNCIL PAGE

We shall be posting all the latest news and events here so do please
click on our tab every now and then.

In response to several requests, we shall be inviting children to hold office on the school council for half the school year and hold elections in the later part of the Spring term for a new membership to take office. This will give more children the opportunity to take up this exciting role.
Our new council membership for the first part of the year are;

GARDEN PROJECT

ON FRIDAY JAN 13TH, THE SCHOOL COUNCIL MET WITH A REPRESENTATIVE FROM 'PLAYSOUNDS' TO DISCUSS PLANS FOR OUR SCHOOL GROUNDS. WE SHARED LOTS OF GREAT IDEAS AND HOPE TO BE ABLE TO MAKE SOME IMPORTANT DECISIONS WITHIN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS. KEEP US UP TO DATE WITH YOUR OWN POINTS OF VIEW. THIS GARDEN IS FOR YOU!

CHILDREN IN NEED

A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped raise money for Children in Need. Our total went beyond £250 and more is coming in! A special thanks to Dino, and his mum, who supplied the prizes for the most colourful kids
in each year group.

CAKE SALE FOR RUBY

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO BROUGHT AND BOUGHT CAKES. WE MADE £116.19P!

Oliver gives a clever rap about Ruby in front of the whole school.

This year the school council are raising money for a sick child called Ruby. One of St Philip's ex pupils is cycling from one end of the country to the other to collect funds so that Ruby can receive special treatment in America. We said we would help. Our friends in Church at Welcome-In donated £30 and now the funds raised from our cake sale will go towards Ruby. Have a look at this website for more details, www.one4ruby.com

The new members receive their badges and a special welcome at the whole school assembly in September.

'EVERY LITTLE HELPS...'
More Tesco goodies were collected last Friday Sept 23rd by two of our students. Mr Pugh MP was on hand to give us a word of congratulation for all the hard work put in last year collecting our Tesco vouchers.
